新加坡国立商学院昨晚将2018杰出校友奖颁给了12名为经济和社会做出突出贡献的校友。
新加坡外交部长维文医生（Dr Vivian Balakrishnan）在颁奖典礼的开幕致辞表示，世界正在经历一场数字革命，其意义不亚于250多年前英国的工业革命。面对这场突如其来的变革，教育体制也必须做出相应调整。
同时负责“智慧国”计划的外长维文医生强调：“真正的挑战是要掌握未来的技术。”
新加坡国立商学院院长杨贤（Bernard Yeung）也表示：“我们的获奖者所做的贡献对新加坡乃至整个世界都产生着积极的影响，他/她们致力于将新加坡发展成为一个智慧国家，并让每一个人都从中受益。”
商学院的杰出校友奖每两年颁发一次，包括杰出校友奖、青年杰出校友奖、校友服务奖三个分奖项。今年的获奖者分别来自银行、金融、环保、信息技术、食品、医疗等领域。
一些获奖者与《时代财智》记者分享了当时的感受。
新加坡银行 (Bank of Singapore) 首席执行官博林 (Bahren Shaari) 激动地说：“凭借商学院的学位，我毕业后进入了一家会计事务所工作。那是我的第一份工作，但对我今后的职业发展至关重要。”
早在1981年获得新加坡国立商学院工商管理学士，现任富旺朝控股（Food Empire Holdings）执行主席陈远昭（Tan Wang Cheow）则告诫当代学子：“正是因为在新加坡国立商学院打下了牢固的专业基础，我才能取得今天的成绩。其实，大家不必远渡重洋学习经商之道，好学校就在我们身边。”
成立于1965年的新加坡国立大学商学院是一所以培育本区域顶尖商业领袖闻名的学院。学院曾在众多权威刊物和独立机构（例如：金融时报、经济学人智慧和QSMBA等）的排名中名列前茅。
